There is one thing i enjoy when at a large transport hub is people watching.
More so at a airport. It’s always fascinating how travellers react through the whole process from arriving to checking in and heading to gate.
Some will arrive early taking their time to check in and work out where their departure gate and have plenty of time to enjoy a coffee.
Saying that there still a few that arrive late or close to when the check-in closes. It’s mild panic. Tbis morning it’s leaving the boarding card in the self service kiosk, or running into other passengers or coming back to the check-in area to find out where they go.
All through this the Air New Zealand staff are patient and understanding at pretty cool as to stress passengers out anymore than necessary. Full marks to them.
Lastly, the Dragon at the check in area at Wellington Airport. For many tied youngster who had their beauty sleep interrupted this was a source of enjoyment as it opened and closed it’s eye. For some it became hypnotic.
While for some they gave it a gentle wave as they walked by.
