Perfect Strangers on a Plane.

A lovely warm day in Auckland after the warm but drizzle morning in Wellington.

I had a window seat and next to me was a Mumand her 14 year old daughter who were heading onto Rome from Singapore.

For the best part of 8 hours ( flight is 10 hours) the daughter and i were having a number of interesting conversations ranging from family, holidays, likes, dislikes.

It was as though we had known each other but had not caught up for age’s..

It was a very surreal moment and also relaxing.. Mum did not mind at all and she would join in at times..

She said that she had HDA but that did not bother her at all.

We both hated hexagon as a shape thought triangle was a waste of a shape (don’t ask but we both had been up for many hours) while circles were ok.

She asked me to say no to her Mum as she did not want to eat her greens.

How condensation was formed was best left unexplained and how i enjoyed flying after watching Top Gun was a tad confusing.

No doubt she enjoyed talking to people as she made it easy not just with me but those nearby.

In the end we said out goodbyes while in transit lounge at Changi Airport as our flights seemed to be at different ends of the terminal.

Its this type of happening will add to the memories of the next 6 weeks.
